Password Change Tool



Note: All members of the College of Arts and Sciences who have a domain account are required to change their password at least every 90 days.

This process of changing your College (ASNT) username's password is NOT a substitute for changing your Onyen password (e.g. used for email). Changing your Onyen password is a separate process that must be done at https://onyen.unc.edu. We strongly suggest that when you create a new password for your Onyen, you immediately update your College password to match it.

Your College password MUST meet the following criteria:

  • It must be at least 8 characters long.
  • It must contain at least one digit.
  • It must have at least one letter.
  • It must contain at least one of these characters: !@#$%&*+={}?<>"'
  • It and your College Logon must share less than six (or length of your Logon) consecutive common characters.
  • It must NOT start with a hyphen, end with a backslash (\), or contain a double-quote (") anywhere except as the last character.
  • It cannot be a password you have used within the last year.
